MacOSX Lion 10.7.1 Released

New integrated update for MacOSX Lion called 10.7.1 was released. By this 10.7.1 update, the stability and compatibility of the Macintosh are fixed and improved. Concretely, by the update, the video trouble in Safari was fixed, the audio trouble related to HDMI was fixed, the Wireless LAN trouble was fixed, and the trouble of assistant tool for the data transfer from old Mac was fixed. (Attention) Suspension of ECS-ID for the educational account.

Users. * If you have SPS-ID, please use it instead of ECS-ID*. SPS-ID has been published for all staffs, so ECS-ID is published for non-staff users, like students and visiting researchers. ECS-ID users have to do the update procedure every year at the media center of Kyoto University. The media center has been suspending ECS-ID at  July every year. If you don’t do it, your ECS-ID was suspended, so you cannot use the common services of Kyoto University, like wireless network, online journal in Library, and so on. Firefox 6 and Thunderbird 6 Released

Firefox 6 and Thunderbird 6 were released on August 16, 2011. By this upgrade, the web developer menu was added and the issues of information security and bugs were fixed. By upgrading, your Firefox will be improved about the performance, the location bar function, and the web developer environment. If you are  Firefox 5 or Thunderbird 5 user, your Firefox and Thunderbird will be automatically upgraded within several days. (Fixed) Trouble of Gmail Login Error with IE9 and Microsoft Security Essentials

Users Now, the above trouble seems to be already fixed. According to the information in some web sites, it was solved by Virus Definition File of Microsoft Security Essentials on August 11, 2011. Adobe Flash Player 10.3.183.5 Released

Users The fixed version of Adobe Flash Player was released because of corresponding to the critical security vulnerabilities, issue of IE9, and issue of MacOSX Lion. Adobe Flash Player has been frequently updating, so I  strongly recommend to access to the following version check site. (Attention) Trouble of Gmail Login Error with IE9 and Microsoft Security Essentials

Users At least, this trouble began to be occurred on August 5, 2011. According to the web information and my confirmation, Microsoft Security Essentials detect the virus called “Worm:VBA/Circ.B” when you login Gmail using Internet Explorer 9 (IE9). And hereafter, IE9 cannot access to Gmail until removing Cookie information.
